The house is located in the heart of the quiet charming

medieval village of San Quirico d'Orcia, south of Siena.

The region is recognised for its outstanding natural

beauty with its Etruscan hilltop towns, vineyards

& olive groves. Its an idyllic backdrop during all four

seasons. The village is famous for its olive oil &

celebrates every december with the 'Festa dell Olio'.

The village lies on a historic pilgrim route to Rome & is

now a popular stop over for Tuscan cycle & walking tours.

Sample world-famous Brunello wine from neighbouring

Montalcino, relax in the volcanic springs of Bagno Vignoni,

hike to Castello Ripa d’Orcia, explore the nearby villages

of Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano or drive to Siena.

Visit Florence, Rome or the beaches of the Tuscan coast.

The village has several good restaurants, cafes and bars

or there is a good quality butcher, bakery, fishmonger

and supermarket. Other activities include horse riding, mountain biking, wine tasting, Italian language & cookery courses, or visiting one of the many private luxury spas.

However you may prefer simply chilling out sipping cappuccinos in the village square, dining at home on the terrace or perhaps curled up in front of a blazing log fire reading a good book.
